What is prayer?
The most basic definition of prayer is “talking to God.” Prayer is not meditation or passive reflection; it is direct address to God. It is the communication of the human soul with the Lord who created the soul. Prayer is the primary way for the believer in Jesus Christ to communicate his emotions and desires with God and to fellowship with God.
What is heaven?
Heaven future place—an eternal dwelling—that far exceeds anything we could ever behold. It is the holy dwelling of the Lord Most High. And although we cannot even begin to comprehend its splendor, the Bible gives us beautiful descriptions of the place in which those who have received Jesus will spend eternity..
What is hell?
Hell is a place for the soul of extreme torment by being separated from the blessings of God. The word of God warns about hell describing it with images of darkness, gnashing of teeth, fire, and complete separation from God.
What is sin?
Sin is any lack of conformity unto or transgression of the law of God.”
‘Conformity’ is defined this way: “Not being or doing what God requires.”
‘Transgression’ is defined this way: “Doing what God forbids”.
Sin is acting or behaving in a way that does not conform with God’s character or commands. It is about crossing lines that have been laid down for us by God. Sin is thus an act of rebellion and distrust. It is us saying to God: “You don’t get to make the rules! I am capable of deciding right and wrong for myself!”
What is Christian discipleship?
By definition, a disciple is a follower, one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another. A Christian disciple is a person who follows Jesus Christ and accepts and assists in the spreading of the good news of salvation through Him. Christian discipleship is the process by which disciples grow in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the indwelling Holy Spirit to overcome the pressures and trials of this present life and become more and more Christ like.
